Government Funding & Relationships for National Security

ACMI Federal is the government contracting organization within the ACMI ecosystem. It manages $945M of government contracts across several programs, holds cooperative R&D agreements with the Army and Navy, and maintains relationships with 30+ institutional organizations.

ACMI Federal's role is to support critical domestic supply chains and scale emerging hardware technologies important to the Department of War. For campus tenants, that means direct access to prototyping contracts, shared equipment programs, and federal funding streams that reduce barriers to entry.

ACMI Federal administers the $75M OUSD Munitions Campus Program - providing shared capabilities, equipment, and funding to companies on the NSIH campus.

Private Investment for Advanced Hardware Startups

ACMI Capital is a private investment fund for promising advanced hardware startups with scalable technologies applicable to national security and commercial markets. 

ACMI Capital provides early-stage capital, customer connectivity, and a pathway into the U.S. defense market. Portfolio companies become pre-positioned tenants for ACMI Properties campuses - creating a built-in pipeline of companies that need production space as they scale.

Propulsion Park - Virginia

​ACMI Properties is developing a 1,154-acre advanced manufacturing campus in Southern Virginia, anchored by a pre-leased build-to-suit facility for Avio USA - a subsidiary of Avio S.p.A., one of Europe's leading solid rocket motor and space propulsion manufacturers with over 110 years of experience. Avio USA, led by Vice Admiral (Ret.) James Syring, is establishing domestic production of tactical solid rocket motors and space launch services for the DoW and national security missions.
